How do you approach ethical considerations in your legal work?

“Ethical considerations come up at various times during a civil litigation dispute – from the conflicts that may exist between the firm and parties involved in the litigation, to our own ethical expectations while working on a file.
We also use our ethical standards within each matter we work on. In those cases, we try to ensure that our client’s position in the action is supported by their documentation, and we ensure that our clients are aware of any exposure that they may be facing in the lawsuit.
Advising a client. that their position in an action is not supported by the documentation or case law is important because their damages and cost exposure could be quite significant, so we will always recommend settlement and negotiation in those particular cases.”
What do you love most about your job?

” As a litigation clerk, the thing I love most about my job is the variety of matters that cross my desk. Although some files may rely on the same doctrines of law, very rarely does a file have the same facts as any other. It definitely helps to keep the job interesting, i get truly passionate about files and I love when we win”
